I recently acquired a Snapper PC21507B with a really tired, very difficult to start Briggs and Stratton engine on it. At the same time, I came across a NOS Honda GCV160 that's about 10 years old. I decided to transplant it. The whole process went fairly well. It bolted right on the deck, the engine stop handle connection was the right connection from the Briggs and the same length. I had a different throttle cable that I used. The only thing that was different was the shaft size of the engine. The old Briggs was a 1" shaft, the new Honda was a 7/8". So I just ordered the blade adapter, pulley, and key. I also inverted the muffler 180 degrees so the outlet was further forward. In its original configuration, the muffler shot right into the hi vac chute and I worried about it melting a hole in it.
