Hello everyone my name is Chris and I am in Ringgold Georgia. I purchased a 28"/9HP/RER/M SERIES 19 a few months ago and per this web sites advise
contacted Snapper this is their response.
Chris,
The numbers you have provided are the model number needed for your unit.
The engine on your unit is a 28B702-1154E1-990114ZE engine the engine was made in 1999.
Your mower is a M280919B and the serial is 94234883 and was made in 1999. the model number on the unit tells us your unit is a 28 inch cut 9HP series 19 with a Briggs and Stratton pull start engine on it.
We hope this information is helpful.

I was able to do this from advise on this website! Thank you very much!
Driving to Mt. Juliet Tennessee in the AM and I wanted to get something on here, I will leave some pics, and talk to y'all again on a later date.
Looks like some friendly, helpful, folk on here.

I'm glad we could help! Do you know what thread you asked for help in?

I was trying to find out more about my Snapper, googled it, and it led me here.
I was not paying much attention to the threads just wanted to learn more about the Snapper.
I joined lawn mower forum here I am. I could be wrong, I've been wrong before.
Had I have known, I would have kept better track of what I was doing.
I can only hop this answer is to your liking.

Appreciate ya!

Actually the mower does good for now cept a few drawbacks.
Seat is the wrong seat-------------------- (bolt holes not wide enough, only held by 2)
I need to straighten out the wiring a little---(not clean enough)
Probably needs bearings and zerk fittings--- (repacked/replaced)
And whatever else I come across in routine maintenance.

I really love the KISS method employed by the manufacturer, simplicity at it's best.

I believe it!

We the unwilling, led by the unknowing.
Have done so much, with so little, for so long.
That we are now qualified to do anything, with nothing!
