hi forum, o.k. here's my tale of woe. I have a eager 1 sears push mower. it has a Tecumseh 6.75 engine. I was mowing the lawn, and the lawn mower stopped. I tried to restart it. it did restart, but only ran a couple seconds. aha, I said the carb has a problem. so, I installed a new carb, new fuel line, new filter, new spark plug. now the same thing is happening. runs a few seconds and dies. only now, after running, the carb is leaking gas. I changed the carb with another new one again, same problem. anyone?

You got crud in the fuel tank that is getting under the float needle and holding it open.
Remove the tank and give it a good rinse.
You can use fuel to do this then tip it out into a container and filter it with a coffee dripolator filter .
After which you can toss it back in the tank.

hi, thanks for your reply. I thought there was a filter in the fuel tank to prevent that .
