If it was a Yamaha engine. Probably an EFI engine too.
Briggs/Vanguard makes a 36 hp big block carbureted engine.
Kawasaki FX1000V would be my pick.
The FX1000V was one of the offerings on the PT 460.

I'm looking at the fx921v and fx1000v they both show same cc's is the fuel injection the only diff?

Go with the FX1000V. That’s one of the engines original to the Pro Turn 460.
The original Yamaha was fuel injected. Being a Yamaha was the main problem with the engine. The fuel injection just added more problems.
The FX1000V is carbureted.
Have a look at the sell sheet.
