Hi was wondering i have a craftsman with briggs 725 platinum engine and i have been reading that people have been having a hard time starting the mower and the plug is getting fouled. the original plug RJ2YLE has been replaced by RJ19LMC Which is not a common plug and hard to get without ordering it.Some people have put the old briggs plug in RJ19LM and have started with no problem and ran great. If this is correct the gap is .020 for this mower when they put the old plug did they gap it at .020 of leave it at .030.Thanks for the help

You can can use the RJ19LM plug but depending on date of engine depends if 0.020 and 0.030.
Whats the code date of the engine?
A batch of engines were sent out with the other plug and nobody can figure out why.

i cant get to the lawn mover to see engine code but from what i can see there is a stamp june 2013 and the spark plug in the mower is RJ19XH

The RJ19LMC is the ideal plug but the RJ19LM will do.
Just set it to 0.020 if the date is 2013.
