My 8157A I've had a short time busted a rod and poked a hole in the crankcase so I was in need of a replacement engine.I didn't want to scrap it out it looks practically new,and I like the way it cuts.A few days ago I drove past an equipment dealer that I knew had a bunch of older equipment sitting outside in front. There was a LB that looked like mine but what caught my eye was the cage around the muffler. When I took a closer look at it I noticed the instructional and warning stickers were in German! It did seem to have compression when I gave it a slow pull,so I took a chance and bought it...cheap.All those units outside are sold for parts.Took it home cleaned up carb and ran it a bit. I just wonder what sort of story this machine has.Was it sold and used in Germany? Kind of ironic if it was only to return to the States 80 miles from where it was manufactured.
