I'm starting a thread on this dethatcher to keep easier track of it while I have my mower thread separate. Today I picked up an '87 Bannerman dethatcher, minus an engine, and then picked up a new engine on sale at Princess auto. The engine is a Powerfist 208cc(7HP) Honda clone, on sale for $139

It's missing the engine pulley though and I'm desperately trying to find the pulley size online.

Here it is as I bought it. Dirty but in decent shape. There have been a few welded repairs to things ike the belt cover in the past, but they seem to be holding up.

The bearing retainer is loose and missing a bolt.

Here is is with the Powerfist in place, off to the store now to get a new pulley and a few bolts.

I haven't test fired the engine yet, I'm tempted to, but until I'm done tilting it to get everything assembled I don't want to put any gas or oil in it.

The bearing retainer is now firmly in place

And the new pulley is in place. I did a fast test patch and it works great. I need to do a few finishing touches but it will serve me well I think.
