B&S EXI 625, 725, and 875 compatibility?

anyone know if the EXI series B&S replacement engines are pretty compatible? (bolt pattern ect.) trying to get my dad a replacement engine for his log splitter for his birthday and I cant seem to find the info I need. Briggs website is was pretty impossible to try to reach out to. any help would be greatly appreciated!
also anyone know if this is a good engine for cold outdoor use in Mn?
