Repairs Ariens MiniZoom 1534

I own an Ariens MiniZoom 1534. I purchased "Rachel" in the spring of 2005 and store her in a shed. I do all the maintenance and repairs on her and she purrs like a kitten. However, this morning when I went to mow, she would not move. The arms are free and moving. The belts are intact and in good shape. She in in operational mode and not transport mode. And, I'm stuck. I'm not sure what to check next. Help?

I have a Gravely Mini ZT 1540.
When you say operational mode are you talking about the two sliding clip/pins on either side of the engine? These engage the motors or put them in free wheeling for pushing the mower by hand.

Thanks so much for responding. Yes. When I say operational mode, I mean the two clips that slide on either side of the engine.
