Ariens 2010 54" Tractor

54" lawn mower. Model 936040 I noticed the other day that the front wheels do not track. If I point the right one streight the left one is pointed out about 20 degrees and vise versa. I cant find any tie rod adjustments and they do not look bent. Looking further the steering wheel has a lot of play if you pull it down or push it up, like something loose as it goes into the body in the dash. I cant find a way to take it off to check if there a nut there. Looking further I see there is a ratchet gear that the tie rods mount to and the bottom of the steering wheel column bolts to has a lot of up/down play (not side to side) Its floppy. The nut is very tight though.
Can somebody help.

Fixed: The ears that the tie rods mount on the wheel mounts to was bent. I had to put vice grips on one and bent it down.
