Hi guys,

Have push mower with 21 inch blade and 6.5hp Briggs & Stratton (123K02 0631-E1).

It starts fine and I work with it for 10 15 min and it stalls out and will not start again. I have to wait until it cools down to re-start it.

Can someone please help me with this?

Next time it does it check and see if you have spark, do this while it is still hot.
Sounds like you might have coil going bad when it gets hot.

If you still have good spark it will most likely be a fuel delivery problem.

Sounds like losing spark from the black supressor cap on end of spark plug (if fitted).
When it stalls next time pull the cap off. It has a terminal which will connect to the spark plug.
Try and start.
If it runs you have found the problem.

thank you all for replies,

after spending much time "fixing" it, including swapping carburetors with an old one abandoned in the yard, and doing things you suggested . .

it turned out to be a faulty gas cap!

not ventilating . . i noticed when i wanted to check the fuel level it made sucking sound when i opened it. . . replaced it.

all is well now.
