    Carb Removal Help

I went to one of my other tool boxes and did find a set of VERY small sockets that I did't know I had and it took a 4 mm socket to loosen those bolts. Pretty good memory, Rivets! Thanks to you and everyone who replied.

    Carb Removal Help

I think you have it right. The two long bolts have what looks like the shape that a VERY small socket would fit. Of all my tools I do not have a 5 mm socket. I will find one and try that. Thanks for the help. I will post the result later.

    Carb Removal Help

I have a Cyclone Rake with a 6.5 HP B & S Vanguard engine and I want to remove and clean the carb (Part # 84004885). Can someone give me the removal process? Everything seems to be covered up even after I removed the shrouds and air cleaner. Thanks for any help.

    WYA 79 carb flooding

After following your tips found the bad coil. Apparently during the time the coil was dying the incomplete burn was causing the flooding. This thing had served me well for a long time, maybe 20 years, so I am going to replace rather than repair. Thanks for the help

    Removing top shroud on FS691V

The replacements I ordered were torx and I don't know why but those I took out were allen. I bought the mower new and no one has ever worked on it before.

    Removing top shroud on FS691V

Yea, Slomo-I listened to you, and StarTech gave me the tip to get the shroud off. But things got tougher after that when I got to the three allen-head bolts holding the screen. A little rust showed up there and it took my heat gun and some work at that point. Not much "allen" in the cheap...

    Removing top shroud on FS691V

The word here has been "always remove shroud and cleans the fins", and I am trying, I removed all bolts from shroud on the Kawasaki FS691V and it will shake as if loose but will not lift off. What's the secret to this? Until I find out something I do not want to force it too much. Thanks

Poor cutting deck!! (I tried to post this exact info on the Ferris Factory site and it was turned down as containing inappropriate language) I purchased this mower in March, 2017 and I had run it for 27 hours and have had the deck belt come off two times. The second time I researched the...
