Use a magnifying glass to read the 3 digit number on each jet. The jet with the higher number goes to the Right. (There is an "R" and a "L" embossed in the casting on the top of the carb)

194146 is not a B&S part number. Correct part number for you MTT is 694146

Yes that is the bypass valve.

Stupid question, did you check the bypass valve? On a new unit that would be the more obvious cause. Work the bypass rod in and out a few times and then make sure its all the way in. Then test it again.

It is a 33" deck with a 12HP engine produced in 1996. The handle make it a series 6 or earlier but the series 5 used an 11HP engine. So it is more than likely a 3312X6S. Belt part number 7010749YP.

I'd have a look at the PTO switch first.

If you have a TRIPLE deck it can be configure in Side or Rear discharge or Mulch. If it is a triple deck you should see the TRIPLE deck logo on it. Otherwise post the 6 digit MFG number and I can check which deck you should have.

Listen to @bertsmobile1. ^^^^^^^ Definitely not "Vapor Lock".

Check the breather filter between the two fuel tanks. If it is blocked it will cause a vacuum in the fuel tank/s and will restrict fuel flow. A simple test, when the engine dies after those 30 minutes, is to open the fuel filler and see if you can hear the vacuum being released.

On the side of the Serial Sticker in tiny writing it say DOM. That is the date of manufacture.

Let us know how these plugs go. Our experience with NGK sparkpugs in these engines has been poor. They simply don't last as the heat range is incorrect. It may be purring now but let's give it a few full days in the field and see. My opinion... you may have to change you name to @SirDoesntMowAlot
