Don't know about your Simplicity but with Cub Cadets just take off the filters.

Hello guys, Bought a JD E120 because I got a really good deal on it. It only had 11 hours on it. I converted it to a regular filter and it runs great ecept for the button you have to push to back up. I'm sure by now someone knows how to bypass that button?? Mind sharing your secret ?? Thanks

Replaced the spindles on my sltx 1054 Do you think it's worth drilling tapping and installing grease fittings ?? I know they are sealed bearings but my understanding is the grease helps absorb some of the heat so they will run a little cooler. Just curious

I have a Cub Cadet SLTX 1054. Was changing the drive belt and noticed there's no metal plate for the clutch to slide up on. There's a spring that hooks up to keep the clutch from spinning. So my question is that all on that model or did someone remove the plate?? Never saw one with just a spring??

Both Head gaskets were blown all fixed and running great

Replaced both head gaskets, Both gaskets did fail. Haven't got a chance to try it out yet but sounds sweet running and the dipstick won't go airborne if removed while running. Thanks for all your help.

I changed the oil in it as soon as I got it, I don't know anything about this machine as was given to me. as stated one plug was fouled with a grey matter since I changed them but only have maybe 1/2 hour on them and they both look ok and the same.
