Well after studying the forum concerning surging on the 318 I took the intake manifold out and used gasket sealer to stop what I thought was a leak
Everything went back together as it should but I still have the surge. Can someone point me in another direction to address this problem.
Thanks, Mike
I'm working on my SIL's White riding mower with the B&S 31P engine. I have adjusted the valves twice now and it continues to go out of adjustment.
I know that I'm tightening the adjustment screw and nut down according to specs so why do they continue to loosen?
Should I put some LockTite on them...
I have a Troy-Bilt 21" walk behind mower with a Honda motor. There is no throttle on this mower so there is no way to adjust the speed. The mower surges all the time but seems to cut just fine.
Is this the way it's supposed to run. I'm used to mowers with throttle control and a choke that isn't...
I just bought a new (to me) 318 with 819 hours on it. Is there anything that I need to know about this tractor?
I changed the oil, new filter, new air filter, greased it and put in new plugs so everything is ready to go.
Thanks in advance
I have a 2009 Cub Cadet M72 Tank and I'm not getting any charge to the battery. I have checked the output at the voltage regulator and the most I get from either terminal is about 10.5 Vdc.
I should be getting above 26 volts, or better, if I remember right. I have removed the flywheel and...
I put the flywheel back on so no pics of the stator. I can show a pic of the single wire coming out of the stator. It started out as a black wire, then someone used a shrink tube and connected the black wire to the green wire I talked about previously. Then the green wire was connected via a...
I was able to download a pic of the module that I think is causing the problems. The wire from the stator goes to this module.
Even with a charged battery shouldn't the volt meter show that the battery is receiving some charge?
Thanks, Mike
