I had similar on my B24. Cylinder kept spinning and mower crept forward constantly. My issue was resolved by lubricating the collar and clutch fork and adjusting the cable.

Thank you all for your input. The drawings that Star tec (appropriate name) posted had the v belt length and I went to my local supplier who confirmed that it is a 9.7mm x 8mm x 937mm long belt. Just have to wait for it to arrive as not a stock item. Hopefully up and running next week. Just...

I think That I must have the "export model" deck. There is nothing attached to the top of it and the wires under the foot board are not connected to anything.

I had a similar problem with my 20 hp v twin when starting from rest. I thought it was the battery too, but I checked valve clearances and they were too tight. Adjusted to spec. and not had any issues since.

Thanks for your reply Mark. I haven't tried the grease yet but I rechecked terminal connections for the battery light and the earth showed no continuity. I put silver foil from earth connection on bulb holder to battery earth and it was good, so there must be an break in the earth on the printed...
