Sorry, I didn't see your message until now. :-/ No I haven't had any problems with the acceleration pedal fortunately. I haven't looked into the design of the pedal yet but maybe there is a spring that went bad on your tractor that needs to be replaced? If you take it apart and e-mail rechargemower with pictures of the problem, I'm sure they can help you by sending you new parts to fix the problem.
I just replaced the electric transaxle on my G2 though since the bearings gave out on the one side. Fortunately Rechargemower customer service has sent me the replacement parts I needed for no charge so I can install them myself to fix the mower. Jim Brody has been my main contact there and he's been quite understanding. Apparently he also mentioned to me that they fixed the steering related problem that I brought up on this forum and I e-mailed the pictures to him so it seems they are willing to make design changes to fix the tractor.
