Trying to ressucitate an old Toro. Need to find model number in order to get parts. Starter recoil shroud has VMK9 202912. I think it relates to the engine being a Suzuki. Carb is a Mikuni with inscriptions:87C10 N 957. Engine is also stamped 87CI above valve chamber. Engine is OHV. Mower has 3 speed tx. Only second speed working for now. Body is magnesium or aluminum. Air filter box is opening from the top. Width of cut is 53cm, per sticker on body. Handlebar has a part number: 66-0260. Needs a dipstick, some tx adjustment, carb and valves adjustment, and she'll be ready to go. Your help will be appreciated.

Forgot to mention that the Suzuki engine is a 4 stroke. Also need a governor spring. Here are some pictures: 2013-09-07 15.08.15.jpg2013-09-07 15.07.49.jpg2013-09-07 15.07.18.jpg2013-09-07 15.06.55.jpg2013-09-07 15.06.34.jpg2013-09-07 15.06.17.jpg2013-09-07 15.05.57.jpg

Thank you very much Mister Fish.
That was enough info to get everything I wanted to know.
Engine doesn't have the GTX label, but it looks the same anyways.
What is the difference between the Vml0-2 and the Vmh7?.
Looking at the shop manual tell me a couple things: choke and governor arms were installed inversely.
An intake gasket is missing at the carb.
The shop manual stipulates that the whole carb assembly has to be replaced when the needle Viton ring is worn. On B&s and Tecumseh engines it is replacable. Could I use that as a replacement?

No, I am sure that neither the Briggs or Tecumseh needles would work.

So I have to replace the whole carb assembly if the seat is leaking! No other do-it -yourself alternative?

I looked online, and the needle seat kit is still available, it is expensive..

I have never tried, the Tecumseh kit may work, but I would doubt it.

Pricey indeed. Over 20$! Will test carb before going that far. Thank you Mr. Fish!
