I have a 1822d. It came with 23x12x10 tires on it and I kept having drive shaft problems because it was putting too much of an angle on the shaft. (it set to high in the middle.) Grasshopper says 20x10x8 is OEM. I want to put 21x11x10 on it because I have the tires (bar tread. turfs are no good for me) They are very expensive so I would like some input on whether to spend money on wheels (because I have the tires). Or spend money on tires(because I have the wheels). thanks Les

If I read this correctly - you have 21x11x10 Bar tires that you want to mount.
You have 23x12x10 on it - the 21x11x10 Bars should fit on your 10" wheels - you'd be 1" closer to the ground (1/2 of the 2" difference in tires) -- the 21s willonly be 1/2" higher than the 20" factory tires.

The first number 23 - 21 - or 20 is the Diameter (height of the tire) The 8" wheel would not make a difference in height, it would just have a higher sidewall.

I'd try the Bar tires you have on the 10" wheels you have ---- just my :2cents: !

Just an after thought -- did they also put longer shocks on it ? that would also change your shaft angles.

remember it is suppose to have 18x9.5x8 tires stock 18 to 21inch tall is lifting it. so it would raise the level 1.5 inches doesn't sound like much but the drive shaft to the front deck is only about 1 foot long. I t does not have shocks. suprisingly not a bad ride. I have the 8" wheels and the 21x11x10 tires.

I didn't know stock was 18x9x8 -- You said 20x10x8 --- I'd look for prices on 18" Bar tires to go on the 8" wheels. Then sell your Bar tires. I've actually had good luck with Gemplers for tires.

OK - even if Gemplers doesn't list them - I have asked their tire "expert" and he found a set of bar tires for my Deere 318 (when I had it).
thanks I'll appreciate the advice. I'll look them up.

What are my options for OEM 20x10x10? This is for a Simplicity 5212.5H to mainly be used for snow plowing.

Do a search - use "tires 20x10-10" or add ATV -- for some reason they use a dash before wheel size. As I said Gemplers is one good source - there are many others.
