Bought a 2013 Troy Bilt XP 46" cut hydrostatic with a blown Kohler courage SV470 18hp engine for parts. I also have a 2008 Huskee with a 23hp B&S ELS engine that runs great. I'm thinking of swapping the engines and was wondering about vertical shaft lengths and diameters. They both have similar pulley setups, top pully to the rear trans drive and the bottom pulley to the deck drive. Since Troy Bilt and Huskee are both MTD mowers, do you think it would be a simple swap as far as pulleys aligning and correct heights? What do y'all think?

Motor should mount up correctly as long as mounting house line up. The problem we have always ran into is the wiring harness connection. If you can find a schematic wiring diagram for both it will be fairly simple.
