Working on my new-to-me Case 130…87723E1A-DA38-4B22-ABCD-95BA7ECD9AC0.jpeg

it came with a screw on gas cap… which barely keeps the fuel contained only if the tank is less than half full… so I’m looking for a replacement cap…

the fuel tank opening is right at 1 3/16” I.D.

I’ve tried the local auto parts store… closest I came was 1 3/8”…

anyone have a line on small, old school gas caps?

Have you looked at the underside of the cap to see if there is a rotted o-ring, or a groove for an o-ring that is gone?

The cap that came with the tractor was a screw-on style… something you’d find on a ‘70’s walk behind mower… the only thing keeping it in place was gravity…

I found a cap that I think is gonna work… it’s an “oil filler cap” from an old Buick… that’s how it was listed at NAPA… need to drill a small vent hole in it as it’s a solid cap… it fits well though…
