I was reading about 'green' ways to deal with slugs and inevitably the beer suggestion featured at the top of the search. What I found interesting was that these pests have preferences! It wouldn't do much for their advertising to have '9 out of 10 slugs prefer our brand', would it.:biggrin:
I used to have real problems with these little critters until I put out some of my home brew in saucers. You wouldn't believe the number of slugs I found in the saucers the following day! I believe salt kills them too.
Slugs and beer DO seem to go together, don't they? I ain't no slug, but I do like my beer. I would really have to think hard before I would decide to expend beer on killing slugs.....
