should i replace fluid in transaxle?

hey, its me.......again (*sigh*).
since i cant sell that hydro mower, i was just going to keep it and use it to haul stuff around, pull my mowing equipment ect.
but its whining alot, and i decided to come here and ask yall if i should replace the fluid in the transaxle.
thank for any help.

If it's whinning badly the damage is already done. With that said, you would need to remove the transaxle to change the fluid. Doing so may prolong its life by removing any abrasive wear debris, but it's not going to "fix" it.

The whining is fluid bypassing the pump pistons. Put some 20W-50 in it and hope for the best. The pistons and pump are already starting to score. Thicker fluid may help. If it is a K46 that is called fhe whine of death.
