I live next to a large farm, they got a New 61" Scag TC II, but were complaining that it just was covering them with cuttings & crud (Blow-back). But was a super mower. I have a friend that has one in NJ, & he said there is a Baffle in front of the blades & factory sets it @ 1/4" higher than blades.
So I told the farmer/friend, & said it is in his Owners manual as well. He said do I wanna check it out & show him. I said Sure. So a 14mm wrench & some adjusting to a setting of "b4", & after testing the Blow-Back is gone. We set it to a 1/4" lower than the blades.

I have that same mower and the dirt, dust, and clippings are my only complaint. I never have adjusted the baffle that you speak of but maybe I should.

Cool, Nice machine, Yes look in your operators manual, it will give details on the 'how-to'. Quick job, but very worthwhile..

PS: many you-tubes on this as well..
