Ryobi Mower Strange Noise

Question: When my RY401110-Y mower shuts off sometimes it makes a grinding sound. Any idea. Blade was just changed.

I'd make sure every thing that is supposed to be lubricated on a regular basis is up to date. Get in touch with your senses as to where the sound and vibration is loudest. Does it do it only when the blade slows down, does it only do it when the engine is in neutral and it is turned off, etc..

Only randomly makes this noise when I let go of the handle to shut the mower off.

You said you just changed the blade. Are you sure you installed and tightened it properly.

Pretty sure. Can do it again and let you guys know.

does it do this only on concrete or also in the yard?

wondering if a wheel just barely not touching could vibrate and do this?

Took the blade off and it balanced perfectly, however, the nut that goes on started to turn round and round. Have to get a new nut, but used thread lock on it and it is holding ok..no more shut down noise.
