I have noticed when I walk in my grass I get a orange dust on my shoes and on my tractor. Does anybody know what that is and how I can get rid of it? Thanks!

Is it pollen from some other tree/plant?

Or could it be fungus on grass? You can brush it off your shoes and blow or hose it off the tractor.

Here we call it dust from dry red clay

I'm not sure. It could be. But it happens the same time every year

Where does the clay come from?

I have it on some of my lawns, too! In the first picture you can see the patch of it in the center of the pic. In the 2nd picture is the "dust" on my mower.

We don't have pollen here this time of year.....and we have the orange grass......

How about industrial waste if its not pollen ? Its got to be something in the air unless its coming from the ground up. Are you the only person that has it in your neighborhood? It might be a good idea to have the DEC come and look at it.

No, a lot of people have it. I think it is a disease.

The orange grass around here is getting really bad....I mean look at my mower....and that was just from 3 lawns!!!

I had 10x that for one lawn. And I have 6 lawns
