I live in Fl. and have been looking for a light weight riding mower to avoid leaving ruts. I have noticed many contractors leave ruts because they mow the same line each mowing and they have large riding mowers. If anyone has any recommendations I would appreciate it.

Rutting isn't just about machine weight, tire width will also factor into it. The lightest Rider type mowers are likely the 28"-30" snapper or Cub Cadet rear engine riders. With those machines the majority of the weight is on the rear wheels. A 42" front engine Rider will have a wider rear tire, wider front tires and better weight distribution despite it being heavier. Commercial machines typically weigh hundreds of lbs more than consumer machines.

And the tyre shape is also important.
Commercial operators tend to favour square shouldered tyres because they are more resistant to side slip.
Down side is the rip up the grass
Round shouldered tyres do a lot less damage .
