kohler commamd pro 14 hp

Kohler cv14s engine. new fuel pump, carb head gasket. starts and quits after about 60 seconds. wont restart. any sugestions. has spark and gas in carb. ????

Did you bleed the hydraulic lifters after replacing the head gasket. May be holding one of the valves partially open. Any low oil pressure switch on that engine that could shut engine down. When it doesn't restart what happens if you put a small amount of gas into the intake will it do nothing or run and die or keep running.
