Husqvarna yth 1842 PTO clutch woes

Hi there! I have a Husqvarna yth 1842 that is having a problem I can't wrap my head around. I am consistently blowing the fuse and the PTO clutch is subsequently cutting in and out until it cuts out completely and doesn't cut any more. I have replaced both the pto switch and the electric clutch itself and it is still happening. I assume it's some simple wiring gremlin that I'm too frustrated to find on my own? Help!!

Check the wiring very carefully from where it goes into clutch all the way back to switch to battery my guess wires have rubbed or a mouse has chewed wiring letting them short every now and then.
