Hi all......first post on here, hoping to tap into your expertise for some help please.
Just serviced the mower (including a new drive belt ) and all was going fine on the first cut of the year until after approximately 30 mins the tractor refused to move forward or back after emptying the grass box. Ended up having to lift the rear wheels and push it into the garage.
Next day I purged the hydrostatic transmission by using the official owners handbook advice and it worked.......back to cutting the grass and it happened again.
Repeat the above 2 more times.....now it refuses to work ( movement back or forwards ).
I think the transmission is a sealed for life unit ( oil wise ) unless anyone can tell me different. I am quite good with mechanical things but transmissions are not my strong point. Due to the current lockdown here in the UK there’s no chance of getting it to a machinery specialist anytime soon.
Can someone help please ? ?

Check the funnel that sends the grass to the catcher
If it is broken, fitted wrong or plain missing debris builds up around the brake which is on the trany behind the right wheel .
The brake locks the layshaft so the wheels can only turn is opposite directions.
Very common or rear discharge mowers.
IF the mower will not start, look for the catcher switch which is there so you don't go mowing without it fitted.
