I am a fairly new homeowner. We just bought our first home and we are expecting our first child. There have been a few things to do since moving in, but I think my yard belongs on "Desperate Landscapes".

First, congratulations! How big of a yard are you going to have to tame? Is it a small plot of heaven, or a giant ride one pasture or somewhere in between?
Welcome to the jungle. I hope you have fun taming and planting your gardens, I know I do. It gives my yard purpose to be planting and watching it grow.
It's a little over an acre, but some is woodland and it has its own built in water feature. I have some big ideas, but some will need to be prioritized and done at a later date.
