Hello everyone, wondering if this is normal or if anyone has seen it before....my hours meter stays on constantly. Turn of the engine and pull the key, and it still stays on. So when I park it, the battery is around 14.0-14.4 and when I go back a couple days later it’s down to between 12.4-12.8. Was trying to avoid this electrical drain if anyone has any ideas. I’d like to keep the meter hooked up as opposed to bypassing it. Thanks in advance guys!

The standing battery voltage of 12.4-12.8 is prefectly normal, the 14-14.4V is a surface charge only. It called a 12v battery for a reason.

Don't know the particular hour meter but might be an LCD version with an internal battery. IF so a lot of them stays on all the time until that internal battery goes dead.

If it worries you disconnect your battery after your next mow & check the voltage before you mow again.
Results should be almost the same.
Some rectifier/regulators have a tiny current draw as well as the hour meter

Thanks guys! I’ll disconnect the battery next time and check out the results.
