Ok Guys - What's the easiest way to bypass the oil alert engine start isolator when it fails on Honda GX140/GX160 engines ? We normally disconnect the yellow wire but is there a better way?

We run a heap of these as they're generally a very reliable easy starting motor - So far never lost one through low oil - trouble is we use some of the Honda's on crtical applications like portable fire pumps & when the oil sensors die it's usually at the most inopportune time ..................hence curious as to what others do to resolve/bypass the oil alert "failsafe"

The Oil Alert switch typically has two wires, often at least one yellow, the other can be a number of colors depending on the model.

If either wire is disconnected, the Oil Alert will not work. Does not matter which wire it is, both have to be connected to the switch for the Oil Alert to work.

Thanks:thumbsup: - your advice is much appreciated - when we're up to our armpits on a bushfire fireline & the Honda pump won't kick because the oil alert has failed it's nice to know it's easily disconnected............
