Hi all,
Thanks for the forum, glad to have joined !

I have a recent purchase of a Lawnboy mower, looks to be 70's or 80's but I can't identify the model #. The only tag on it is a Canadian Registry sticker with an apparent model and S/n but it doesn't match with lawnboys registry.

Any ideas on what model I have?
Thanks!

The pictures do give some good clues. It has the safety grip and the recoil on the top. Rear gas tank and red wheels. So...if you're looking for a match to give the right maintenance info, late 80's commercial Lawn-Boy should work. I can't tell if it has a on-off switch up by the throttle...is this a BBC mower?

Thanks for the replies! I'm not sure about BBC but I'm inclined to contact Lawnboy directly.

Looks to be a commercial build, might have been a volume special order, Good thing is that Lawn Boy parts are pretty universal across the brand.

BBC = Blade Brake Clutch. Basically, do you have to engage the blade clutch while engine is running or does the blade rotate all the time?

Ok, yes BBC it is. I'll have a call in with lawnboy to confirm. Thanks again for all the great replies!
