Hard starting New T10 Craftsman

Why does my new craftsman T 210 mower 18 HP Kohler engine crank so long before it starts It has less than 30 hours run time and it done this since purchase.I turn therottle up and crank the engine 3 to 4 times before it starts.
Should this engine have a fuel pump?My old craftsman t100 starts within 3 or 4 revolution of the engine.
Any ideas.

Check to see if the choke is closing fully on startup. Wouldn’t be the first time I’ve seen a Craftsman not setup properly.

x2, check to see if the choke is closed fully, you should be able to the pull air filter cover and filter out and see the choke shaft in the closed position..

Take it back to walmart under warranty.

checked the choke and that was the problem.Adjusted it and all is good.Thanks for the tip.
