I've decided against replacing the wheel on this one until my shoulder heals. Any recommendations for mowers that would be good for Kentucky blue grass and the terrain that is common in central Kentucky. The size could go either push or riding, but there is a hillside and some dips.

How big is the lawn? Would a riding mower roll over on the hillside? How much do you want to spend?

Price: No more than a thousand, preferably less than 600.

Hill: I don't know, that's why I went with a push mower some years back.

Size: A half an acre.

Sounds like a good quality self propelled walk behind would be the ticket. Check out Honda, Toro, Lawn Boy and Snapper.

only spending $600, you would have to buy used if you want a lawn tractor. You can get a good new self-propelled push mower for that.

Good luck finding what you need. Check the local paper in case someone is trying to get rid of a used mower that works for your situation. That's how a lot of my friends bought their tractors.
