Congrats on the Snapper Twall. I thought I had a good Friday with steak and eggs for breakfast. You did better with a new machine.

Aired up the tires, put my R72's battery in it, hit the key - And VROOM! Everything works. Deck works fine, disk drive works fine, charging works fine, even the GAS GAUGE in the cap works fine! Had about an hour's seat time toodling around the park, charging up the battery, and and checking out how wet it is where I need to dump those limbs!

What a deal!:dance1::cool2: I'm happy as an addict can be!

The JD's next - after I warm up!

Twall, I may be in error here, but didn't you say at one time you live in a mobile home? I cannot help but wonder why you need such a large collection of equipment to maintain your lawn....maybe I am wrong, but the other folks I know who live in mobile homes have lawns maybe 300 square feet at most.

Who ever said I need them?

I WANTED them........and I can use them. I pick up deals - I'm a packrat. And if you think my lawn is itty bitty, YOU push mow it for me.....LOL:laughing: We have BIG lots here....the biggest I've ever seen in a trailer park. About 80% of us have riders, if that tells you anything........

Besides, I am going to sell all the front-engined stuff this year, I think, and keep just the Simplicity (for front-engined stuff). Even if I show the Craftsman...it'll have a 'For Sale' sign on it.....

This Snapper looks like it's going to be the 'keeper' thus far. It's really comfy, runs like a TOP.....(not so much as one little 'puff' while it's running half - throttle no load....you know the B&S typical 'put' while it's running fast no load.....this thing runs smooth as an ATV.....that great big muffler makes it sound like an ATV while idling.....put put put put) and is really STRONG pulling......

I really like it, but then again, I really WANTED to like it, too. Gonna be hard for that JD to measure up. Never know, though.

You got a great buy on that Snapper...

Maybe it's just my weird sense of humor, but a lot of riding mowers, to me, look like a go-cart on steriods...

Nothing wrong with that at all though, I always wanted a go-cart as a kid.

I see you and I spent the day doing the same thing. After winter it looked like a MOAB went off in my back yard - debris and limbs everywhere. And many more cracked limbs still up in the trees, needing to be taken down.

Third straight day of work at it, and four trips to the dump with my 8' bed loaded up like a conestoga wagon. I'm about 3/4 done.

Nice tractor.
