The purpose of my thread is to have a positive discussion on the subject matter. Being that you were so eager to jump in, why don't you share some of your knowledge on the subject, or do you have anything of value to contribute here?

There have been many conversations about motor oil. Can't find the latest one but it had many opinions on the subject.

Do a search. You'll find enough to read for days.

Ok i'll start the argument, I have never seen the benefit of using full synthetic motor oil, i change my oil at 50 hrs on my mowers or once a year, my cars at 4000 miles or once a year, most every manual says you can use synthetic but can`t extend service intervals.

Last two S10s, Regular Havoline 10w30 in both for 300k miles, both still running, motors untouched internally. Good enough for me.
