Good day,

so Ive got a LTX 1142 with a Fr600v, its blowing out white smoke so its burning oil. now the last time i use it just before i put it away it started to plow oil out the exhaust,
was thinking of doing a compression test and go from there, possibly new rings, any one have any other info out there on these engines.

First, check to be sure your oil level overfull and if it is thinned out or smells like gasoline, there is an issue with the carburetor float needle not metering fuel flow into the carb bowl, gas flows freely into the combustion chamber, past the rings, into the sump.

I put fresh oil in, mowed the lawn noticed the when the PTO was engaged it was it was idling up and down with a backfire, so i went to put it away and it started bellowing white smoke and spitting oil out, ill take a look and see if it smells like gas,

I also have a zero turn with the fr600v engine. It started burning oil around 50 hours from the original air filter falling apart!
