Naive is fine and I never belittle anyone regardless of how they ask a question. I am simply saying that the folks that are needlessly lazy when seeking help should try to be as detailed as they can.
Yes I agree, but people are people. Read the thread POOPS and POPS and DIES and you may see what I'm talking about. Thats just one.

Good glad you stepped up and didn't let some entitled POS ruin it. May your business prosper.

Add ENGINE OIL as defend threads looks like guys are ragging on you for using synthetic oil. Saying your wasting money. I also use synthetics in my cars/trucks.

Why the change of heart? For some reason I don't think you mean it.... Your post on the thread sounded very dark.

You did something about it...much respect for not sitting by. Like I said ENGINE OIL thread is another good example of people bashing users for no reason. Someone in particular said your wasting money.

Weird different people, in different regions, sometimes different countries, with different level of jobs. All have different opinions? They do something a certain way they feel is the best way and get defencive when someone tells them otherwise. There are hundreds of people here all have different opinions... They will clash people will argue.

Here's the bottom line this is the internet. No one is winning any fights at the end of the day you turn off the comp and continue to live your life and do it your way while the other person 5000 miles away does what they wanna do. If you log on here to ask a question prepare to get lots of different answers. The more detailed you are the better we can help we can't see, smell, touch, hear your machine and that's how we would diagnose a machine we were working on. So tell us everything you can...

Some people may think it is stupid to ask for model number for something like removing a wheel, but that gives some of us a chance to go to an IPL look up the mower, and then we found out how the wheel is attached to the axle, or if we are working on the engine, we can see if it is manual choke, automatic choke, primer, what air filter attachment, does it have fuel solenoid or not. That is how we see the mower that you are working on.

Some times somebody will post My mower won't start, and then they get defensive if nobody answers them within 10 minutes.

People should be able to disagree, Carscw and I seldom agree, but that does not mean our answers aren't going to help. People like Fish just do to things, start a fire between responders or turn off OP's. Each of us come with a different set of experiences and backgrounds. Do I know everything, absolutely not. I have been working on small engines for 40+ years, but at least once a week I learn something new here. I have posted my problems here and guys like IL, reynoldston, Kenny V., Engine Man and Ric all know more than me, plus we have disagreed on how to solve a problem more than once. Working in a dealership and as a retired instructor, safety is my #1 concern, which is why I post certain ways to do things. IE; safety switches or shut off valves. OP's who feel that our answers or posts are bogus and worthless, have the right not to follow them, but don't have the right to try to call us out. They forget that they came to us, not the other way around. The one problem that I cannot stand is when they ask a question, get an answer and then they say that the answer is not the cause. If you knew that much why did you ask for help. If you have a problem with a thread, you have two choices, get out or be prepared to stand by your posts. As most of you know, I will always stand behind my posts and will not let someone bully me out of a thread. The only time I drop a thread is when I don't feel I can help the OP or someone else with the same problem. My signature tells everyone what they can do with my posts.
