I don't see a Briggs parts list and dealers haven't been helpful. They have to order one. Why do I have to go to a Husqvarna dealer? I paid $900 to mow a few minutes with this used 23hp v twin intech. I'm putting on a carb, adjusting valves, new gaskets, clean heads, oil and non ethanol gas. 170 hours. I have acres to mow.
Briggs pushrod, Husqvarna yth2348 heads off, after a smoke cloud. I have a warped aluminum rod but which number? The OHV cover says 445577. THANKS!

The aluminum push rod for the 445577 series is Briggs PN 690982. This is for the intake valve. The exhaust uses the steel push rod PN 597785.
Normally we would need the model and type number off the rocker cover. And sometimes even the date code.

I almost bought that number. It was paired with a 690981 steel one, (I think). I've wasted this afternoon searching for an internet parts list but I did find this site. I hope I can get it together. I expected to find a bad head gasket but only leaking oil and low power and of course a warped rod.
