What do you all do to maintain your battery on your equipment?

What is the best way to make them last?

What brands do you use?

Battery Tender?

I have good luck just leaving mine alone.
My tractors original battery lasted 11 years. Current battery is 10 year and still going strong.
My last pickup truck battery lasted 13 years.
My zero turn mower battery is the 9 year old original.
None have ever had a battery tender on them.

we have a guy like that on another forum I go to. If someone gets 22 miles per gallon he gets 35. If their engine lasts 150,000 miles on an old 60's or 70's car his lasts 600,000. If someone gets 50,000 on a set of tires, he gets 150,000. I guess some people are just lucky.

Lol you must live in the best climate In the world if you are getting 9 years out of a battery. I'd be happy with half that!

Not bad.
My tractors original battery lasted 12 years. Current battery is 11 year and still going strong.
My last pickup truck battery lasted 14 years.
My zero turn mower battery is the 10 year old original.
My smoke detector battery lasted 20 years and would have lasted longer if the house hadn't burned down.

And you might live in Argentina where it's 74F everyday. Some people get snow and ice in the winter.

Back on topic, pull battery. Take it inside your house. Put a Battery Tender on it. Keep the top wiped off and clean. Don't forget battery hold-downs too.
