Have a look at this video I made of the issue.
Can anyone help me figure this out before I tear into it? Popping sound definitely coming from the exhaust and not the intake.
It did this 3X as loud in the middle of winter, thought it might be a fowled exhaust valve not sealing so I fed it a full can of sea foam and it went away completely!
Now it’s back. I may try the sea foam again, but something must be causing it. Anyone seen this before on a Briggs Vtwin? Not sure where I should start? Valve clearances, camshaft, valves themselves?
