My 28hp or may be 26hp?? is starting a little ruff. It spudders a bit starting but smooths on out.
I have to choke the snot out of it.. I think it needs tuneing up..
I did change plugs about a month ago..
What else CAN I DO myself to help it run better?

What does the Stealer I mean dealer Exmark/or shop do when they tune it up?
Is it like points or what.

Will somebody fill me in on a tune up.
This one is for SALE so trying to get it up to snuff..

The word "tune up" can be very general in its meaning and here's what I mean. A tune up could be spark plugs, fuel filter and air filter. Engines built today don't have points so that one is out. However I like to call a "tune up" bringing the machine back to factory specifications and if the blades are bent that could be part of a "tune up". What people really want is a machine that cuts grass so I do what ever thee machine needs to "tune it up".

In your case it could be as simple as adding a product such as Sea Foam to your fuel and running the machine to see if deposits are the cause of the problem. Without seeing the machine I can't tell what is out of spec to cause your machine to run like it is so you will have to do a little more investigation. Sounds like it is starving for fuel. How does the fuel filter look? Is the choke mis-adjusted?

Thank you for the reply.
I did change the plugs and put in a new fuel filter so far. I have no added any fuel cleaner but will do that this weekend.. I change my blades once a year, I just mow my church yard which is 10 acres..
I got to thinking the other day it may not even have points.
I did call the Ex Mark dealer and asked him what they do and how much..
He told me change plugs and fuel filter about $75. If they clean the carb could be $200 $250.
The Sea Foam would have to help so I will do it this weekend...
