I do like quality gear, but I need to face reality that I do not need a $900 stihl for trimming the edges of my hardwood garden edging and house.
However I do know for string .155/inch is what usually lasts. I have used guitar wire but that will dig into my garden edging and sides under the house, not ideal. But I doubt 4mm string is going to fit in any cheap 25cc or electric units anyway. Most are 2.5mm
I thought a cheap 25cc homelite might do the job, but then I thought a battery would be nice for no ear muffs, although I have a commercial walk behind John Deere blade brake clutch mower 6hp, so Im thinking of selling that and buying a Makita battery or funds will reach the E-Go self propelled, it looks the best of the Battery Mowers. Doing away with ear muffs........
