i have this grass taking over my yard. i grows so low that i do not need to mow it. it is a light shade of green broad leaf and looks like the pictures. feels good walking on it. my research is telling me it may be some type of carpet grass. i can see my original grass in it still but this grass is really getting thicker. i posted 4 pictures from around the yard hope you can see the difference. providing they show up.20180804_102133.jpg20180804_102137.jpg20180804_102151.jpg20180804_102207.jpg

ok took longer as we had rain all day so no i just went and got pictures of the grass. 2 are just the plug 1 with the notebook where i have the plugs at in a bare spot just to get grass in there. and then 1 with just the same plug in the ground for a better view without any other grass around it .

I'm not sure what that grass is, but it sure resembles crab grass to me.

With the purple look to it, I would say crabgrass. Did you apply a pre-emergent this spring? I really wanted to see a side view. From roots to tip. Much easier to identify.

i did upload a side view but now i don't see it i will get one uploaded. i can't see any purple in the grass but i will ask the wife if she sees any. i can't see the colors well. it just looks brighter to me. and the grass is real small. thanks bp.20180807_112037.jpg

Great cars, Corvairs!
I owned several second design Corvairs back in the mid 70's..........
Loved my '65 Monza 110 4 speed except I kept snapping that long tranny input shaft.........
A real weak spot, even for 110hp.

to be honest i never hear of that as a weak spot on the corvair. the belt the heater bellows and the rear motor mount were some of the biggest points of concern. have to say i have not read much of people complaining about that being weak. but i don't have all the answers that is why i'm here asking about grass types. but i do love the 65 i have. mine is a custom unt and as most custom cars itis one of a kind. you now see a lot of custom corvairs and i started that years ago around my area when i put in a different set of seats. then it went wild. but still i think they are good cars can't say i have have many issues with mine that i did not cause. thanks bp.

and now back to the grass question
