Grasshopper 721D

Just repaired mower becaose it was spewing oil.Replaced Speed control plate,amd gaskets.
The machine has this high pitched whining sound.Afraid it will blow up!
Need to get fixed qui9ckly as i am losing accounts.
What is thr effect of an electric cluych going bad?
