I picked up an old Honda 214HC that looks brand new. The previous owner got tired of it and when he couldn't start it he sold it to me for $30. I figured that I could get it started, wrong. I changed the plug, new gas, primed it through the carb and pulled the cord, it immediately started and when the primed gas ran out it stopped. Really sounded great when it was running. After a few of hours of this I took it to a friend he took the carb off cleaned it (soaked for 3 days) put it back together and the same thing happened to him. Any suggestions will be very much appreciated, I am thinking of buying a new carb but before I do that I thought I would ask.
Does anybody know what the HC means? I see a lot of 214 SX self propelled but no 214HC listed. Thanks.
