GREETINGS to all MTD mower owners! :thumbsup:

If you're new to the forum, please reply to this thread and introduce yourself and your mower (that is, if your mower have a name :laughing:). maybe attach a photo or two of your mower and show off your pride and joy.

Also, if you haven't done so already you can upload a user avatar (picture under your user name). You can do so by clicking on settings and "edit avatar" or just click here.

Please be helpful and friendly to all other MTD owners (how could you not, right?) and if you like this forum, tell your friends about it. :biggrin:

We want to make this the best resource for MTD mower owners, and to do that we need your help! Questions? Experiences? Stories? Data? Photos? Articles? Links? Cool MTD stuff? Post it here!

well..im not new ... but here she is!....."Little Red"......2006 ..15.5 hp briggs....42" deck...vari drive tranny...bought her for a $100 and a starting problem...now she has new oil and grease and starts right up

I have a MTD Yard Man 18hp 46in deck. I bought this mower new in '94 and it has done a lot of mowing. The Briggs engine uses oil but still runs the best. When I bought it I put a set of 10.50x23x12 tractor tread tires on it which proved to be a good idea because it doesn't spin as easily as the turf tires. The plastic hood has since gone by the wayside because the bolt holes have cracked and broken but that doesn't bother the way it runs or mows. I have done other minor repairs, of course, but nothing major or very costly. I have another mower now (just purchased it 3 weeks ago) that I use for most of my mowing but the Yard Man is still used for mowing my banks and wet areas. This has been one tough mower and if my new one (which isn't a Yard Man) lasts as long I'll be happy.

i have a yellow 1993 yard man as well...it has a good hood and sides but the grill and light lenses are broken out...it has the 18hp twin with hydro....i just got an electrical problem solved yester day and its running good..i think i posted it here somewhere:confused2:

Well, I have a MTD riding lawntractor. Troybilt, new this year, Bronco. Have a Yardman pushmower but it is 10 years old and is just for possible parts.

Hello everyone and thanks Muhammad this is a great forum! I have a Mtd lawn tractor with a 46 inch deck and a 21 horse v twin Briggs and a lot to learn about mowers so I think I have come to the right place!

i guess i should put up all my MTD's......the green one is a 2000 yard machines with a 17hp tecumseh and 7sp varidrive......the yellow is a 1993 yard man...with 18hp briggs twin and hydro automatic.....the red one is a 2005 troy-bilt with 18.5 hp briggs single and varidrive auto :smile:
