I just ordered a new clutch for my Ferris IS4000. Anyone know if the old one can be repaired?.

What failed in the old one...?
Bearing or clutch winding or friction surface...? :smile:KennyV

I don't know what failed. Each time the PTO is engaged the fuse blows. If the clutch is disconnected the fuse does not blow.

That sounds like it is the coil winding that has shorted... You might look at the wiring where both leads enter the clutch... see if the insinuation is gone and allowing the two to short together... If the short is outside, you could easily repair it.... :smile:KennyV
